Australian Labradoodles are our passion. Cove Lake Labradoodles are the premier breeders and studs of Australian Labradoodles puppies in North Carolina and the greater East Coast. We are family owned and operated Labradoodle breeders located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. Our Australian Labradoodles live with us in our homes and on 8 acres of dog and puppy friendly land.
Cove Lake Labradoodles began when John and Dodie King both retired from successful healthcare careers and were looking for a new pet to fill the time they previously spent working. They had always had two Golden Retrievers at a time since they were married, a tradition for them. Unfortunately, one of their beloved Golden Retrievers passed away and they began to research other breeds that were smaller, more family friendly and and allergy free. After several weeks of research and talking to many different breeders they decided on the Australian Labradoodle breed.
Their daughter Kate immediately decided that she wanted to work together to share the absolute joy, passion and love that they felt after having their new Australian Labradoodle puppy Marcus introduced to their lives. Cove Lake Labradoodles is truly a family owned and operated business. We are having a lot of fun doing what we love and introducing our puppies to their new forever homes. Part of our passion is experiencing the birth and development of these wonderful animals and seeing the expressions on the faces of the families when they come to take their new Australian Labradoodle family member to their permanent homes.
